WTF is up with Ticket Sales & Registrations?

We don't know, but we're having a discussion about!  Join Harry Upton, Events Director at The Princess and The Tivoli, alongside Leanne Hughes, Thought Breeder, Author of the 2 Hour Workshop Blueprint, Business Strategist + Keynote Speaker, and Sally Porteous, Event Creator, Trainer and Host of The Event Managers Network.  We want to talk about both ends of the spectrum and why some things are selling out, while others remain rotting on the shelf - and yes, we'll probably talk about festivals too.

From music to business, what's driving ticket sales & registrations today...

With experience both working within the industry, and producing their own work, our panel of guests will dive into the curiosity behind what is driving the polarity between ticket sales and tanking sales in the current climate.  Facilitated by Sally Porteous, they will dive into audience discussion to try and get to the secret sauce that is a sold out show.

Sally Porteous

Sally is a passionate connector in the event sector who is keen to educate as many people as possible to gather more effectively and have more fun.  The Event Managers Network is the place to test and play with event ideas, and this panel discussion will shed some light on what is happening in the world of live events today.

Harry Upton

Harry is the Events Director at the Tivoli Group, which includes The Princess.  With a history in festival roles like Splendour and Falls. He has been a PCO, managed university events and sponsorship and has dipped his toes into just about every area of the industry. If Harry doesn’t know them, then they’re not worth knowing!

Leanne Hughes

Leanne helps everyday people create extraordinary experiences, for themselves, their teams, their businesses and their communities.  Through her keynote speeches, consulting services, and podcast, she inspires action & impact, sharing actionable insights to  help leaders drive results and change.

About the Organiser

Hey, I'm Sally and I've been an event producer in Brisbane for many years.

The Event Managers Network was started by Genevieve Deaconos around 2017.  Gen had a desire to connect Brisbane's event community and provide opportunities to collaborate and learn from each other.  I believe whole heartedly in this mission and in addition, I think we have not only lots to learn from our contemporaries, but also people in other fields who gather audiences, such as music, festivals, dance, film and theatre.

I own the event company Red Lanyard, as well as coach and train people in the art of event planning, filling the gap between a full blown qualification, and doing things on the fly. I love everything about the event planning and delivery and I love nothing more than hanging out with and hearing from people who do the same.
